Foreign trade and industrial agglomeration are important factors to promote sustained and steady economic growth of China, and are the key ways to improve regional competitiveness, and play an irreplaceable role in the realization of"China manufacturing2025".However,the growth of foreign trade and agglomeration may increase the consumption of energy and resources and expand the emission of industrial pollutants.Weakening the carrying capacity of natural ecology and causing frequent natural disasters, environmental pollution has endangered the economic development and social progress. Therefore,it is of important theoretical and practical significance to sort out the relationship between foreign trade, industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution. This article selects 2004-2013 Chinese 285 cities as the research object. On the basis of describing the development course and present situation of foreign trade, industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution, the paper combs the mechanism of the interaction between the three.Secondly, this paper selects industrial SO2 and wastewater emissions to measure environmental pollution, and analyzes their spatial distribution and dynamic changes the use of the global Moran,s I and local Moran,s I index. Finally, the paper discusses the relationship between foreign trade, industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution by means of the spatial lag model. The empirical results show that both industrial SO2 and wastewater emissions have significant spatial dependence, and tend to rise in general.Through the empirical results of the space panel model, the paper find that the regression results of the national sample are not satisfactory,so the national sample is divided into two sub samples of the eastern region and the midwestern regions. The regression analysis shows that in the eastern sample, after controlling the cross effect of foreign trade and industrial agglomeration, the introduction of foreign trade has obviously intensified the pollution effect of agglomeration. The sample of the midwest is just the opposite, the introduction of foreign trade has significantly promoted the emission reduction effect of agglomeration, although the impact of foreign trade is not significant.Environmental regulation has a better effect on pollution control, and technological progress needs improvement.According to the research conclusions, this paper puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations.
