Industrial agglomeration is the main driving force of economic growth. With the deepening of the degree of industrial agglomeration,China's economy has developed rapidly and achieved world-renowned achievements. With the further development of industrialization, the quality of environmental pollution in China continues to decline, and environmental pollution is increasing. In addition,China's economic development has entered a new normal state and put forward higher requirements for the quality of economic growth and the construction of ecological civilization.Industrial agglomeration is a key factor in promoting economic growth and influencing the quality of the environment.Studying the relationship between industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution, and exploring its mechanism of action,is of great significance in achieving a win-win situation between the economic society and the natural environment.First,on the basis of a theoretical analysis of the relationship between industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution, the paper focuses on the analysis of the mechanism of industrial agglomeration affecting the environment, deduces the mathematical model of industrial agglomeration and affects the environment, and selects regional entropy to measure the period 2003-2015 in China. The level of industrial agglomeration in various regions, the entropy method calculates the comprehensive index of China's environmental pollution, and analyzes the current situation of industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution in various regions of China.Secondly, according to the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2003 to 2015,the relationship between industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution was empirically analyzed based on the traditional panel data model and spatial Dobin model. Finally, according to the results of the study, relevant suggestions for reducing environmental pollution are proposed. As far as industrial agglomeration is concerned, from a vertical perspective, the degree of industrial agglomeration in most provinces is continuously deepening, and the degree of industrial agglomeration in a few provinces has declined.Horizontally, the level of industrial agglomeration in various regions is quite different. The overall state of environmental pollution has continued to deteriorate and the pollution has become more regional. The empirical results show that there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution, but the inflection points of the curves in different regions are inconsistent. Finally, according to the research results, the following four points are proposed to reduce environmental pollution: First, the impact of industrial agglomeration on environmental pollution will be viewed, and industrial policies will be formulated to promote the advanced industrial agglomeration.Second, increase support for technological innovation and promote green technologies.Third, adjust the energy consumption structure and increase the proportion of new energy.Fourth, expand the scale of foreign investment, while improving the standard of environmental protection.
