The Preparation And Application Of Natural Dyes For Chlidren's Hand-painting

In recent years,children's hand-painted products gradually become the new trend on the market today,and received more and more consumers.Because it's novel and unique,creative and has very good art effect.But most of the children's hand-painted products on the market are made by chemical synthetic dyes or pigments,that may be harmful to children's healthy and limit the development of the market of children's hand painting.Therefore,it is of great significance to choose safe and environment-friendly natural dyes for the development of children's hand-painted products.This paper choose S–240MV guar gum as thickener,ferric sulfate,aluminium potassium sulfate,ferrous sulfate as mordant,potassium sorbate as preservatives and use citric acid to adjust pH of the solution.Then mix them with wood,shellac,madder,sophora japonica,gardenia blue,mulberry,chestnut respectively to make seven kinds of children's hand-painted products.This paper studied not only the compatibility and stability of the mixture,but the original paste and storage stability.This paper also researched the influence of silk hand-painted printing method and pretreatment method of hand-painted effect,on this basis,the influence of three kinds of steaming methods and different washing technologies for the K/S values and color fastness of hand-painted samples.The experiment result shows that:1.Different natural dyes can show different colors,for example,the extractions of wood,shellac and madder,are red,the extractions of sophora japonica are yellow,the extractions of gardenia blue,mulberry are blue,the extractions of chestnut are brown.2.Natural dyes,mordant and potassium sorbic acid are compatible with the original paste,And the mixture of the mordant and the potassium sorbate and the mixture of the two are also good for compatibility.3.The hand-painted color paste which was added in 1 wt% sorbate and 0.15 wt%citric can keep one month,so it has a good anticorrosive effect,with less viscosity and good storage stability.Compared to the blank original paste,the viscosity of the pasteadded in the mordant had a bigger change after a month's placement.The color slurry added in the mordant smelt badly after 15 days so that it is recommended to be used as soon as possible.4.When the viscosity of the color paste was between 0.5 Pa.s and 0.65 Pa.s.,the seepage of the color paste became much less.And the hand-painting is more fluid.5.The use of mordant can effectively improve the effect of hand-painted printing.The best application of mordant in hand-painting was pretreatment of mordant.The appropriate formula of Mordant-Pretreatment was 4 % potassium aluminium sulfate(o.w.f),70 ?,30 min.6.This paper used steamer,micro-wave oven and iron for steaming.The result showed that the best way to steam was using the steamer to steam.The appropriate technological parameter was steaming 15-20 min under 20 ?.In the process of washing,the use of baking soda and detergent can prevent fabric from staining.Generally speaking,when the concentration of detergent was 1.5 g/L,the effect of washing was better.7.After hand-painting,the soaping fastness and rubbing fastness of seven natural dyes can achieve level 3.But the sunlight fastness of wood and gardenia blue was bad.And other natural dyes' sunlight fastness can reach level 4 and above level 4.
