With the rapid development of chinese economy,people put forward higher requirements on the performance of non-woven sanitary materials.ES non-woven fabric with soft and comfortable,sufficient tensile strength and easy processing,etc,has gradually become a new generation of sanitary materials.However,its limitations in hydrophobicity or poor hygroscopicity need to be overcome by hydrophilic finishing.This paper aims to develop a multi-functional ES fiber non-woven fabric hydrophilic finishing agent that can meet the production process requirements of high-end sanitary products,and analyze the key factors affecting the multiple hydrophilic properties of ES fiber non-woven fabric.The relationship between the molecular structure of surfactant and its relative thermodynamic and kinetic properties at the interface of ES fiber is studied.This paper mainly includes the following 3aspects:1.A series of anionic,nonionic and cationic surfactants were selected to determine the curve of the change of surface tension with concentration of one component and two-component surfactants in aqueous solution and the curve of the contact angle with time on the PE/PP interface.The relationship between the kinetic properties such as permeation/film formation/spreading of surfactants on ES films and the surface free energy and molecular structure of surfactants,which lays a foundation for insight into the relationship between hydrophilic properties of finishing agents and the above mentioned processes.2.ES non-woven fabric was treated with hydrophilic finishing agent,which includes a series of one component and two-component surfactant solution.The effects of the structure and compatibility of the surfactant on the hydrophilicity of ES non-woven fabric were obtained by measuring the time of multiple water permeation.On the basis of the above contents,hydrophilic finishing agents were studied.The main purpose is to evaluate and optimize the hydrophilic finishing agents of ES non-woven fabric,aiming at obtaining an excellent ES non-woven fabric hydrophilic finishing agent,which based on industrial indexes such as the penetration time,the amount of back infiltration and surface specific resistance.3.We studied the comprehensive performance of ES non-woven fabric hydrophilic finishing agent and comparison with the performance of foreign products.The research contents include solution surface tension,critical micelle concentration,aggregation number and particle size distribution,the dynamic contact angle of hydrophilic finishing agent on PE/PP films,and the morphology of ES non-woven fabric after hydrophilic finishing.To explore the coordination mechanism of multi component surfactants,the relationship between the structure and compatibility of surfactant and the comprehensive properties of ES non-woven fabric,etc.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The surface tension of the hydrophilic finishing agent is significantly lower than the interfacial tension of the PE/PP films(less than 30 mN/m)is the primary condition for the compatibility of the surfactants.We found that the equilibrium surface tension of surfactant solution is lower than the interfacial tension of PE/PP films,and the larger the difference is,the better it is to film and spread on the PE/PP films.A mathematical modle on the dynamic wettability is established,equilibrium contact angle and decay constant K are proposed and used to quantitatively evaluate the wetting properties of PE/PP films in the model.The fast T,polyether silicone oil and 16 carbon cationic surfactant with high surface activity can reduce the surface tension of water to 26.8 mN/m,below 23 mN/m and 30.5 mN/m,respectively,and effectively spread on the PE/PP film at low concentration.The hydrophobic end containing the branched 23E2S reduced the water surface tension ability and the spreading performance on the PE/PP films was slightly better than the direct chain AES.Fast T complexed with six kinds of anionic surfactants improves the surface tension of single anionic surfactant and spreading ability on the PE/PP film.SDS and cationic surfactant at the mass ratio of 2:3,which can effectively reduce the surface tension of the complex system and improve the PE/PP membrane spreading ability.(2)It proved that compound system of anion and cation surfactants,surfactants with bulky hydrophobic ends and EO numbers of 7-8 at the hydrophilic end provide excellent multi-hydrophilic properties.The fifth penetration time of ES non-woven fabric after finishing by hydrophilic finishing agent formulations based on fast T and polyether silicone oils is less than 5 s.The fifth penetration time of ES non-woven fabric after finishing by hydrophilic finishing agent formulations based on anionic and cationic surfactants is less than 3 s.As a result,the fifth penetration time of ES non-woven fabric after finishing by hydrophilic finishing agent formulations based on anionic and cationic surfactants is less than 3 s,while the amount of back infiltration is within 0.11 g,which meet the requirements of the covering material of hygienic products on the penetration time(?3 s),the amount of back infiltration(?0.13 g)and surface specific resistance(<10~9?.cm=etc.)(3)Surfactant micelle aggregation number size is the key factors controlling the hydrophilic properties of the hydrophilic finishing agent for multiple hydrophilicity.The hydrophilic finishing agents of HA-1~HA-6 shows a large number of micellar aggregates,and the size distribution of micelles is in the range of 1?m~10?m.The opposite charge interaction of cationic cationic surfactant is conducive to the formation of hydrophilic large“clusters”,and promotes the hydrophobic fastness on the surface of ES fibers,showing very high washability.The SEM diagrams of the finished ES non-woven fabric showed that the fiber surface is attached to the“clusters”and the fiber surface became rough.The morphology is similar to the SEM diagram of the ES non-woven fabric treated with the hydrophilic finishing agent of 2099.In this paper,the effects of different structure surfactants on the surface tension of ES and the multiple hydrophilicity of ES non-woven fabric were studied for the first time,providing a theoretical basis for the development of ES non-woven fabric hydrophilic finishing agents.Six of multi-functional ES non-woven fabric hydrophilic finishing agents had been developed to meet the requirements for the production process of high-end sanitary products.Meanwhile,the ES non-woven fabric finishing agent in this paper has a good application prospect.
