Epoxy resin is widely applied in the bonding of a variety of metallic and nonmetallic materials,corrosion-resistant coatings,electrical insulating materials,composite materials and other manufacturing for its excellent adhesion,corrosion resistance,stability,insulation and mechanical strength properties.Epoxy resin is used as sticky liquid or solid,insoluble in water,soluble in organic solvents.Most organic solvents are high volatile,toxic,inflammable and explosive,so the application of epoxy resin has been limited.With the awareness of environmental protection been heightened,water-based epoxy resin with water as dispersion medium more and more attention,and it makes the use of the epoxy resin is more environmental protection and cost reduction.So waterborne epoxy resin research has great significance.In this thesis,the method of modifying epoxy resin by unsaturated fatty acid was used to prepare epoxy ester,at the same time,organosiloxane,diacetone acrylamide(DAAM)and acrylic monomer were introduced into the epoxy ester by free radical addition reaction,and an air-drying monocomponent waterborne epoxy resin was produced after neutralization and dispersion.The main contents are as follows:(1)The unsaturated double bond was induced into the main chain of the bisphenol-A-type epoxy resin via esterification reaction between the linolenic acid and the hydroxyl group of the bisphenol-A-type epoxy resin.The effects of temperature,time and amount of catalyst on the reaction were discussed,and the optimum reaction condition was determined through orthogonal experiment design.The chemical structure of the product was analyzed by FT-IR.(2)The reaction conditions and synthesis formulation for the modified epoxy resin emulsion were systematically investigated.The results showed that the highest graft ratio could be obtained when the reaction temperature was set at 115? and the Benzoyl peroxide(BPO)content was about 4%.The storage stability and film performance were excellent when the 3% dosage of A-151,the 2~3% dosage of DAAM,the 0.8~1 molar ratio of ADH to DAAM,the 2:3molar ratio of soft monomer to hard monomer,the 10%MAA content and the 90% neutralization degree were set.(3)Several testing methods such as FT-IR,TG and GPC were used to characterize the polymer.The Nanoscale and Zeta potential analyzer were used to test the particle size and distribution of the emulsion particles,and the film performance was characterized in detail.
