Raw material yard of Baosteel is a large open ground for stacking iron ore,coal,and flux.It includes input system,material field,pulverizing-screening system and conveying system.After the capacity of NO.1 and No.3 blast furnace greatly increased,the current production and storage capacity of yard cannot meet the needs of blast furnace for raw materials and fuel.Thus,the raw material yard would be expanded and reconstructed for matching the production of ironmaking process.During the overhaul period,the raw material will still have complex sources,wide varieties and large quantity.In order to ensure the operating efficiency and stable production of raw materials yard,the logistics balance was analyzed and mathematical modeling was used to optimize stacking program,which provides plant new tools for improving management efficiency and saving cost.Main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The characteristic of logistics in raw material yard was investigated through spot investigation and literature retrieval.The main process of raw material yard,equipment status and also current main problems were analyzed in detail,the objective and necessity of yard expansion were defined and the main problems for raw material optimization were proposed.(2)In this paper,logistics process in raw material yard was analyzed,and the restrictive issue and the possible optimization problem were summarized.It's helpful to the further research word,which is about inventory and storage optimization in raw material yard of Baosteel.(3)The optimization of storage location is difficult to quantify,it has multi-objective and multi-criterion.In order to improve utilization ratio of material yard and stable composition of raw materials,various influence factors was researched and the stacking principle was established.A new optimization method for storage location was proposed combining with differential evolution,it would improve the optimization results,and optimize the storage location for different raw material.(4)An optimization program for stacking and reclaiming in raw material yard was developed with Visual Basic.It includes five modules(data input module,display module,storage module,feeding equipment checking module and data output module.It could be used to optimize the storage location.In this program,the visualization of raw material yard was achieved,and manual storage was designed.The storage efficiency of optimization program was compared with traditional experience method.The results show that the program can realize the storage optimization and improve the utilization efficiency of yard.It's helpful to reduce the management and production cost.
