The rapid development of the modern mechanical processing industry cannot be separated from metal cutting,but the metal cutting process will consume a lot of energy,how to improve cutting efficiency and save energy consumption has become the current research hotspot.Biomimetic studies have shown that the claw toes and teeth of many animals have excellent mechanical properties,which provides the basis for the optimal design of the tool.The beaver has a pair of growing chisel-type incisors,in which the front teeth are large and sharp,and the enamel in front of the incisors is extremely hard to facilitate predatory tearing,wherein the surface portion of the tooth crown facing the oral cavity can be compared to the "front blade of the cutter".Face",the surface part facing the external environment is analogous to the "flank face" of the cutter and plays a key role in preying on food and biting trees.This paper built a three-dimensional scanning system to scan the beaver's tooth surface and collect the point cloud data of the tooth surface first,then streamlined the data was acquired according to the idea of reverse engineering,and the beaver was obtained through curve generation,surface reconstruction and other operations.The incisor 3D surface model.MATLAB was used for its powerful image processing functions and calculation functions to extract the contour of the "rake face" of the model and fit it to a suitable bionic object curve model.The curve model will serve as a bionic basis for parameters of the bionic configuration tool.Based on the extracted bionic curve model,a bionic configuration tool with a rake surface as a curve was designed.The model was established by finite element software and the finite element simulation was performed.At the same time,compared with the simulation results of the traditional planar tool,the analysis of the stress,cutting force,pressure,cutting temperature and other aspects can be obtained bionic configuration tool has the effect of reducing the cutting force,verifying that the bionic configuration tool has good The cutting performance.In order to verify the results of the comparative analysis further,an actual turning comparison experiment was done later,and it was found that the bionic configuration cutter has a better effort saving effect than the conventional plane cutter.Through finite element simulation and turning comparison experiments,the bionic profile cutter can be compared with traditional flat cutters to have a certain saving effect,and also from the shear surface deformation,the extrusion force between the cutter and the chip,and the contact between the cutter and the swarf.The main reason the length can be saved in several aspects such as length is that the rake face of the bionic profile cutter promotes the separation and fracture of the chips in the first deformation zone,reduces the blade-chip friction,and generates the cutting edge at the tip of the material to be cut.The larger tensile stress,the research results have important reference value for the optimal design of metal cutting tool structure.
