With the rapid development of digital printing technology and color management,we often need to proof and chase sample in the textile digital print,but how to improve the quality of proofing and chasing sample has been a problem of color management in digital printing.When the fabric,ink and printing process are fixed,the color correction level of printer is directly related to the quality of printing,which affects the quality and efficiency of proofing and chasing sample.When the printing color quality compared with the original picture is good and stable,it can meet the majority requirements of proofing and chasing sample.If the printer strictly implement color management,the printing effect of the same batch of machines or the same machine at different time should be close.Therefore,the quality assessment of the printer ICC can quickly predict the overall quality of the printer and can predict the effect of printing or proofing.When the printer is in the best and most stable state,it can meet the requirement of chasing sample because of its small error among the printers.Therefore,this paper studies the evaluation method of printing quality and the technology of chasing sample.First of all,the common panchromatic domain chromatic aberration used for evaluating the quality of digital printing was analyzed,we found some irrationalities.Thus this paper designed a new method-color gamut inner evaluation,that is,the color differences of color gamut inner images and panchromatic domain images printed through ten different machines were compared and the consistency of subjective evaluation of chromatic aberration and objective data was verified,thus validating the feasibility and practicability of the color gamut inner evaluation method.The paper also verified that whether the ICC Profile assessment method based on the soft proofing principle can quickly predict the overall quality of the printers and the effect of printing or proofing.Finally,the technology of chasing sample in digital printing based on color management was studied and the effects of three chasing sample technologies including the standard ICC color transformation,dynamic multi-channel ICC Devicelink technology and standard CMYK four color Devicelink technology were compared.The experimental results showed that:(1)The evaluation of the panchromatic domain was unreasonable.The color inner gamut evaluation could judge the chromatic aberration in the color inner gamut of the printer and truly reflected the printing quality of the printer.Whether it was objective evaluation or subjective judgement,it was verified that it was more reasonable to use the chromatic aberration in the color inner gamut to evaluate the printing quality and meet the proofing requirement in the digital printing industry.(2)Through the contrast of color difference and ink quantity,it showed that the quality evaluation of the printer ICC Profile could quickly predict the overall quality of the printer and the effect of printing or proofing.(3)This paper proposed a dynamic multi-channel ICC Devicelink chasing sample technology which could directly establish connection among the color space of the device,save the transformation link of PCS,reduce the transformation error,and adopt K protection technology to get better transformation effect.This technology was suitable for application in textile digital printing.This paper discussed the importance of color management in textile digital printing in order to improve the quality of proofing and chasing sample,providing scientific basis for enterprise proofing and sampling.The above research not only had certain academic significance,but also brought economic benefits to textile digital printing enterprises,showing certain application value.
