The four kinds commercialization of ceramic coated tools were used as the breakthrough point.According to the characteristics of different substrates and coatings,the interface characteristics and dry cutting properties of ceramic coated tools were investigated.The phase composition of four ceramic coated tool coatings was studied.It was found that there was no chemical reaction between the materials and good chemical compatibility.so they have good chemical compatibility.The GC6190 tool has better structure compactness than CS7050 tool,and the KY4400 tool has better structure compactness than A66N tool.The interfacial bonding strength of four ceramic coated tools was studied,the interface bonding strength of GC6190 tool is29N and the CS7050 tool is 38N,so the interface bonding strength of CS7050 tool is higher than that of GC6190 tool.The interface bonding strength of A66N tool is 41N,the KY4400 tool is 43N,so the KY4400 tool interface bonding strength is higher than the A66N.The scratch morphologies of four kinds of ceramic coated tools were studied.Through the scratch morphology,it can be seen that the peeling of CS7050tool is less than that of GC6190 tool in the process of scratching.Compared with KY4400 tool,A66N tool has less scratch.The diffusion behavior of four kinds of cutting tools was studied.The analysis shows that compared with CS7050 cutter,the diffusion of GC6190 tool interface elements is obvious.The diffusion effect of KY4400 tool is more obvious than that of A66N tool.The hardness of four kinds of tools was studied,The hardness of the GC6190 and CS7050 tools is 23.7GPa and21.4GPa.The GC6190 tool has a higher coating hardness.The hardness of the coating of A66N and KY4400 is 30.5GPa and 27.6GPa,the A66N tool has a higher coating hardness.Four kinds of ceramic coated tools for cutting gray iron have been carried out.The comparison between the CS7050 and GC6190 cutting tests shows that the CS7050 tool has better cutting performance than the GC6190 tool,the low degree of flank wear and the low surface roughness of the machined surface.The results show that the CS7050 tool has better cutting performance than the GC6190 tool,The friction coefficient of the rake face is small,the cutting temperature of the tool is low,the cutting force of the tool is low.The wear of the GC6190 tool is the wear of the crescent in the rake face,the microcirculation of the cutting edge,the bond wear on the flank,the chipping of the cutting edge and the peeling and diffusion of the coating;The wear of the CS7050 tool mainly for the rake face of the crescent depression,the cutting edge of the micro-cutting edge,the flank of the bonding wear and coating diffusion wear.The cutting performance of ceramic coated tools KY4400 and A66N is better than that of the latter.KY4400 tool wear in the form of wear on the rake face of the crescent,the cutting edge of the micro-cutting edge,the flank wear and the coating of the peeling and diffusion wear.A66N tool wear in the form of the cutting edge of the rake face of the blade,crater wear,the cutting edge of the cutting edge of the cutting edge and the coating of the peeling,diffusion wear and tear,compared to the flank wear,the rake face was more serious.The dry cutting process of ceramic coated cutting tools was simulated by using AdvantEdge software.The effect of the thickness of ceramic coated and the type of matrix on the dry cutting performance was simulated.It was found that the cutting temperature,cutting force and maximum equivalent stress were the lowest when the coating thickness was 2.0?m.When the coating thickness was 0.5?m,the cutting performance of Al2O3/Ti C-based ceramic coating was better than Si3N4-based ceramic coated tool.When the substrate is Si3N4 and the coating is TiN,the function relationship between the cutting parameters and the coating thickness and the maximum equivalent stress is analyzed,the relationship between the coating/substrate interface characteristics and the dry cutting properties of ceramic coated tools can be qualitatively described by this function.
