Medical waste refer to the direct or indirect infection,toxicity and other hazardous wastes produced by medical institutions in medical treatment,prevention,health care and other related activities.Medical waste is mainly divided into infectious,pathological,damaging,medicinal and chemical waste.Medical waste contains a large amount of bacterial viruses,but also has certain characteristics of space pollution,acute virus infection and latent infection.It is a special type of garbage.If it is not properly handled,it is easy to breed bacteria and generate various variant viruses,which will cause serious harm to human health,social environment and natural environment.This subject takes four representative medical institutions in Hangzhou as an example,two of them are Grade-3 A-level municipal general hospitals which we have labeled them as A Medical Institution and B Medical Institution,one of them is Grade-2 B-level district general hospital which we have labeled it as C Medical Institution,the other is Grade-3 A-level municipal specialist hospital which we have labeled it as D Medical Institution.In the subject we have studied and discussed the characteristics and harmfulness of all kinds of medical wastes,and also we have researched and analyzed the principles,procedures and methods of dealing with rubbish in various medical institutions.We have studied the annual output and trend of medical waste in Hangzhou and four representative medical institutions,the effect of chemical disinfection of disposable medical products.Also,we have studied the composition,characteristics and the yield of medical waste from four representative medical institutions.In this paper,we use grey prediction model to predict,verify and analyze the overall situation of medical waste in Hangzhou.In order to reduce the harm of medical waste to the society,we put forward the optimized management method of medical waste,and put forward the application of high pressure steam sterilizer to medical waste disposal in medical institutions.The management of medical waste in Hangzhou needs to be further improved,and the classification,collection,storage and measurement of medical waste should be strengthened.The chemical immersion sterilization effect of disposable medical supplies is not ideal.We used Minitab,a statistical tool,to analyze the colonies number of sterile and unsterile,and found no significant difference in disinfection efficacy between sterilized and unsterilized disposable medical waste.The probability of positive conversion of HBsAg to negative is 0%.Hepatitis B virus is a more susceptible disease.This means that it is highly likely that clean-up workers will be infected while cleaning medical waste,creating a new carrier of hepatitis B virus.In this study,we have concluded that plastic,glass and cotton yarn are the main rubbish in medical institutions,accounting for 57.11%,17.79%and 10.21%respectively.The density of medical waste is 99.67kg/m3,the non-hazardous waste density is 111.52 kg/m3,and the density of infectious garbage is 109.61kg/m3.The feature of the Gray Dynamic Model(GM)is that it uses less raw data to create a more accurate prediction model.In this pilot study,we used a gray prediction model to predict the number of outpatients and inpatients.After verification,we can calculate the amount of medical waste produced.In this article,we take the idea of cleaner production as a guide and put forward the application of this technology in the treatment of medical waste.And we put forward measures to reduce medical waste and transform medical waste into recycling resources.The use of high pressure steam sterilizers to dispose medical waste is not only simple and effective,but also convenient and feasible.It also minimizes the damage to the environment and human health caused by medical waste,and at the same time creates a green medical environment from beginning to end.
