The design of bench blasting in open-pit mines is an important part of mine mining. The effectiveness of blasting directly determines the efficiency of subsequent mining, transportation and drainage, and has a great impact on the profitability of mines. How to quickly, efficiently, accurately and reasonably carry out bench blasting design is of great significance to mining technology. With the development of computer technology, the traditional manual design has gradually transformed into a semi-automated and automated design relying on computer-aided design(CAD).However, the existing designs mostly use GPS to determine the boundary of the area to be exploded. The accuracy of the boundary data obtained is poor, and the layout of the blasthole, especially the blasthole near the empty surface,is often unreasonably designed. This is a result that does not consider the actual topography. The software of bench blasting developed in this paper, the original terrain and geomorphic data is obtained through 3D laser scanning technology.Given the three-dimensional laser scanning technology's real-life copying characteristics, the error in the raw data of the blasting area is minimized and it is also creates the conditions for the accurate and reasonable blasting design.By selecting the boundary of the region to be exploded directly on the point cloud model obtained in the region to be exploded, the method is convenient, rapid, and repeatable;the two methods are provided for the hole pattern and the detonation sequence of the blasthole, which can satisfy most of the requirements for the type of blasting design;the depth of the blast hole makes the hole depth data more accurate by taking into account the actual topography;through a quantitative analysis of the characteristics of the empty surface,a reasonable adjustment to optimize the position of the front row of blast holes; The determination of the amount of the drug is truly based on the volume of rock it bears;the three-dimensional display of the final design of the blasthole is visual and intuitive, which facilitates inspection of the layout of the blastholes throughout the blast zone. After the completion of the entire bench blasting design, the various parameters of the blastholes obtained provide the data foundation forthe digitalization and automation of blasting, and provide a way for the realization of digital mines, which has great application value.
