The distribution of hazards and harmful factors in the emulsion explosives production line is complex,there are many potential safety hazards.It will cause incalculable losses to the life and property of enterprises and individuals once the safety accidents occurs.Researching and perfecting the risk assessment model and `the method of emulsion explosives production line,it is one of the effective means to identify the potential danger in the production line and improve the safe production reliability of the emulsion explosive.Based on the high requirements of equipment maintenance and strict control of process parameters in emulsion the explosives production line,the HAZOP method was introduced to analyze the risks of the water and oil phase preparation units,emulsification units,cooling units,sensitization units,and charge packaging units in the emulsion explosives production line.According to the accident causation theory and the process deviation results of the emulsion explosives production line which was identified by HAZOP,the three factors in the traditional LEC method were re-determined from the perspective of the local process link.It determined the Different scores and corresponding terms of indicators,including probability of accidents L,the frequency of exposure to hazardous environments E,and the severity of hazards C.Considering the impact of different levels of safety management on the severity of accidents,the safety management compensation coefficient R was introduced,clarifying its related terms and scores.Combining HAZOP with improved LEC method,the HAZOP-LEC risk assessment model for emulsion explosives production line was established.It can ensure and improve the objectiveness,applicability and accuracy of risk assessment in emulsion explosives production line.The HAZOP-LEC risk assessment model had been applied to an enterprise's emulsion explosives production line for risk assessment.The results showed that the deviations of seven indexes are relatively high degree of risk,including temperature of the emulsifying base in the production line was too high,the emulsifier was poor in cleanliness,the emulsifier flow was abnormal,the screw pump pressure was too high,and the filling machine is mechanical faults,poor cleanliness of the filling machine,and high loading temperature were relatively high.The deviations of the cleanliness of the emulsifier and the mechanical failure of the filling machine were the most dangerous,the risk score was 1920 and the deviation risk level was three.HAZOP-LEC risk assessment model is not only suitable for risk assessment in emulsion explosives production line,but also it provides a new idea and new method for risk evaluation of relevant industrial explosives production line.
