Heavy alkyl benzene sulfonate is an important chemical material for Daqing third oilflooding mining process, with flammable, explosive, highly toxic, volatile risk traits etc.. Atthe same time the heavy alkyl benzene sulfonic acid device has high temperature, pressurecharacteristics, too. Therefore in the process of production potential huge risk, if not timelyrectification, if things go on like this, will be to the chemical enterprise safety in productionand the people’s health threat, if the accident happened, but also the environment and socialcause severe damage and influence.So the appropriate risk assessment method, to study therisk evaluation of heavy alkyl benzene sulfonate device has more important real significance.In this paper, through the comparison of9common methods of risk assessment, decidedto adopt HAZOP method in Daqing Oilfield Chemical limited company place belongs to theheavy alkyl benzene sulfonic acid device to carry out risk assessment analysis, find out thedesign defects and the hidden trouble of safety. According to the heavy alkyl benzene sulfonicacid device design intent, by dividing the11node unit HAZOP risk assessment analysis.Research results show that, the production device in Air Cooler Corrosion of lead/glycolleakage, sulfur melting tank, liquid sulfur constant slot leading to spontaneous combustion,high risk factors, aiming at high risk consequences, in the existing protective measures, andputs forward some corresponding suggestions and measures, to eliminate hidden trouble ofsafety, making enterprises strict rules and enhance employees’ safety protection provided abasis.
