Since the 1990 s,people's awareness of environmental protection and environmental protection laws and regulations has been gradually strengthened.The development and utilization of environment-friendly waterborne polyurethane are widely noted by people from all walks of life,which were used as leather finishing agents,now are widely applied to the coating industry as forming agents or adhesives,etc..Thus they are gaining more market share gradually and take the place of.The experimental results show that when the fabric was treated with waterborne polyurethane dye,it not only has the dyeing function,but also enhance the tensile strength,softness and antistatic ability of the fabric,etc..Therefore,the study of waterborne polyurethane dye has a very broad prospect.In the paper,isophorone diisocyanate,polytetrahydrofuran diol,N-methyl diethanolamine and glacial acetic acid had been as the main raw materials,cationic waterborne polyurethane(CWPU)was synthesized by acetone method.The effects of the dosage and neutralization degree of different R-values and N-methyl diethanolamine on the properties of CWPU emulsion and film were studied.The effects of CWPU emulsion treatment on the dry and wet crockfastness of fabrics were explored.The ratio of CWPU raw materials suitable for fabric treatment was found out through research.Disperse red 3B was added to explore the experimental conditions of molecular binding of disperse Red 3B to Polyurethane as dyes.And then the self-coloring waterborne polyurethane fabric dye was synthesized and its properties were measured and characterized.The main conclusions were as follows:(1)When the R-value was 1.1%,the N-MDEA dosage was 8%,and the neutralization degree was 100%,the CWPU emulsion and film properties were excellent.The viscosity of the CWPU's emulsion was 97 m Pa·s;the drying rate was 0.73h-1;the water absorption rate of film was 7.4%;the tensile strength of film was0.57MPa;the tensile shear strength was 1.75MPa;the elongation at break was 490%;and the dry and wet rubbing fastness of fabrics treated with CWPU emulsion was improved by 1-2grade on average compared to that of untreated fabrics.(2)When the mass content of disperse red 3B was 3.0% and the reaction time was 6 hours,the self-coloring waterborne polyurethane fabric dye(3B-WPU)was prepared by modifying waterborne polyurethane with disperse red 3B.The viscosity of the 3B-WPU's emulsion was 134 m Pa·s;the drying rate was1.14 h-1;the solid content was 31.20%;the tensile strength of film was 1.83 MPa;the tensile shear strength was 0.23 MPa;and the elongation at break was 1021%.(3)By testing the comparative properties for three kinds of samples,disperse red 3B,physical mixing of disperse Red 3B and waterborne polyurethane,as well as self-coloring waterborne polyurethane fabric dye,it was found that self-coloring waterborne polyurethane fabric dye,studied in this paper,excelled in dyeing fabric with bright dyeing,uniform color and good color fastness.
