The unclean emission of waste catalysts have been bringing great threat to the ecological environment and biological health.The purification and recovery of waste catalysts is one of the most urgent problems to be solved at present.Based on particle motion control in three-dimensional swirl field,this paper predicted the particle rotational characteristics in cyclone and confirmed the suspending high-speed self-rotation of catalyst particles in air-solid swirling field with the help of microfluidic technology and high speed camera tset.This article also proposed to use the cyclone structure and turbulent Reynolds number to control the particle self-rotation rate,cyclone cone angle and total feed amount to control the suspending time,and applied this to the purification of oil-coated waste catalyst.The results show that under the inlet flux of 35 m3/h,catalyst particles have a self-rotation speed of more than 14000 rad/s near the wall,80 times that of the revolution speed at the same operating condition;the self-rotation speed and suspending time of catalyst particles increase with the raise of inlet flux and cone angle;the oil coating porous catalyst is significantly removed under the periodic coupling centrifugal force by prolonging the suspending time;the oil content of catalyst particles can be reduced from 36.17%to less than 5%within 100 s.This discovery is of great significance to non-thermal separation of waste catalyst under the air-solid environment.
