Acid gas removal using amine solutions on the floating liquefied natural gas(FLNG)units is getting more and more attentions,with the exploitation of oil and gas offshore.The research on traditional acid gas removal using amine solutions mainly focused on onshore conditions,with little regards to the floating production under special shaking environment.As a core equipment in pretreatment process offshore,the operation status of the packed absorption tower has a significant impact on gas purification effect,gas transport and energy consumption.In this paper,decarbonisation performance of packed absorption tower under sloshing conditions is studied.The reasons and influences of decarbonisation performance of packed absorption tower under different sloshing conditions and process parameters are analysed by numerical simulations and experiments.In the researching process,design and rebuild a set of experimental device of packed absorption tower,which could meet the requirements of decarbonisation performence experiments under different testing conditions.Furthermore,according to the related experimental data and theory of double film,establish the numerical model of packed absorption tower to simulate and analyze the flow field and carbon dioxide removal inside the tower.Based on the research by experiments and simulations,the study find that rolling causes the strongest effect on decarbonisation performance of packed absorption tower.Yawing and swaying have less effect on decarbonisation performance of packed absorption tower than rolling and heaving has the least effects.Velocity distribution of the amine liquid at different radial locations on a high place in tower is uneven caused by sloshing,but sloshing has little effect on the pressure distribution and velocity distribution of the amine liquid at different axial locations in packed absorption tower.With the increasing of the range and period of sloshing,carbon dioxide removal rates of packed absorption tower decreases in different degrees under differentsloshing form.Sloshing have different degrees of negative impact on decarbonisation performance of packed absorption tower under different processing parameters.Sloshing have significant influence on packed absorption tower under conditions of high amine flow,high temperature and high pressure.These researches can be applied to designing and optimizing the acid gas removal in packed absorption tower by amine solutions process under special sea circumstance.
