Evaluation Of Sustainable Development Of Energy-saving And Environmental Protection Enterprises In Jilin Province

In order to cope with the decline of economic growth and the upgrading of industrial structure,the energy-saving and environmental protection industry which is one of the strategic emerging industries is highly valued by local governments of our country.The energy-saving and environmental protection enterprises of Jilin Province are the basic component units of the energy-saving and environmental protection industry in this area.Whether these enterprises can achieve the sustainable development or not is the prerequisite to the healthy and prosperous development of this industry.In this paper we tried to evaluate the sustainable development abilities of these enterprises of Jilin Province on the basis the micro level.At first,we defined the concepts of energy-saving and environmental protection enterprise and the sustainable development of enterprise by referring to 12 th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Energy-saving and Environmental Protection Industry and relevant researches on the sustainable development of the enterprise.Then,we introduced the characteristics of energy-saving and environmental protection enterprises in the course of their development,analyzed the related factors that affected the sustainable development ability of these enterprises,and sorted out the domestic and foreign relevant research results on the assessment of sustainable development of the enterprise.Next,we investigated the development situation of energy saving and environmental protection enterprises in Jilin Province and found out that these enterprises were facing a series of problems,such as small scale,short of talents,lack of scientific research and innovation ability,financing difficulty and so on.And then,we analyzed the causes of these problems.This helped us further identified the influencing factors of the sustainable development level of this kind of enterprises.After that,according to the Theory of Sustainable Development of Enterprise,we established an evaluating framework of sustainable development ability of energy-saving and environmental protection enterprise,and on the basis of this framework,we set up an assessing index system of the sustainable development of this kind of enterprises.Finally,in the application part of the index system of this paper,we selected an energy-saving and environmental protection enterprise of Jilin Province to demonstrate the concrete calculating process of assessing the sustainable development ability of energy-saving and environmental protection enterprise.
