Superhydrophobic coatings have attracted much attention of scientists due to their wide application in anti-corrosion,oil-water separation and anti-reflection,as well as their unique self-cleaning properties.The main challenge in this area is how to widely apply the hydrophobic surface to outside and increase the mechanical strength,abrasion resistance,durability and adhesion to the substrate of the superhydrophobic coating.In this dissertation,a lot of valuable explorations had been carried out to solove the burning issues.For instance,the complex preparation process,high cost,poor wear resistance,poor durability and the poor adhesion with the substrate.We designed Cu-CuO multi-level micro/nano structure by growing CuO on the Cu surface.Cu-CuO multi-level micro/nano"flower-like"structure was successfully obtained by simple liquid-solid one-step reaction under alkaline and oxidative conditions.The diameter of Cu-CuO multi-level micro/nano"flower-like"structure is between 1.5?m to 2?m,and the"flower-like"structure was composed of many nano-sheets with a thickness of 200300 nm.The Cu-CuO multi-level micro/nano"flower-like"structure is uniform,and with an small effective contact area between the particles,so it can achieve effectively dispersion of copper particles.In our design,the Cu-CuO multi-level micro/nano structure is used to provide the roughness of the Cu based super-hydrophobic coating.A Cu-based superhydrophobic coating was designed and prepared by using AB modified acrylic as the adhesive.This method overcomes the problem that the one-component glue can cover the roughness of the coating.It also improves the abrasion resistance of the coating,strengthen the binding force with the substrate,and obtains a strong superhydrophobic coating.The coating has a contact angle of158°and a roll angle of 3°.The hardness of the coating is about 6 B.The surface retains its excellent superhydrophobicity after 3000 mm wear under the pressure of 1.282 KPa.It can be soaked in the solution which pH is between 5 to 11 for 20 min.The contact angle after immersion in water for 6 days can still be maintained at 151°proved that the underwater durability of the coating is excellent.The application of Cu based superhydrophobic coating was expanded.The Cu based super-hydrophobic coatings were successfully prepared on Fe,Al,stainless steel,paper and other substrates.The composite of Cu powder and with ZnO,Fe2O3,In2O5Sn and NiO were also used to fabricate pink,red,gray and green superhydrophobic coatings.
