As the crucial equipment on Jack-up drilling platform,cantilever beam have been carried out a lot of researches on it by domestic and foreign scholars,but previous researches are more limited to intensity check of the key parts in cantilever beam and only normal stress is taken into consideration of load maps rather than the study on the relationship between the size of the cantilever beam and the interface parameters and the bearing capacity,Hence it is necessary to have a further research over this issue.In this paper,a method of determining the main dimensions of the cantilever beam is established considering the factors which affect the main scale.Strength and stiffness are used respectively as the failure index to optimize this method which can be applied to the target platform.The effects of different section forms on the strength and stiffness are compared,and the final selection box girder is the longitudinal single beam of the cantilever beam.The dimension parameters of the web and flange of the cantilever beam are determined by the theory of steel structure design.In this paper,the parameters of beam dimension formula under given cross-sectional area can be quickly solved,thus the best way of adding plate is obtained.The results are verified through numerical iteration method and the finite element simulation method,and it concludes box girder bearing capacity is slightly better than that of I-beam under equal sectional area.The classical theory of material mechanics is applied to solve the maximum stress at different positions of the cantilever beam under the influence of different position,wind direction and variable load and the formula of the maximum incidence angle is obtained.The effect of wind load on the strength is analyzed.The critical buckling load of the cantilever beam is obtained by the method of the stability design of steel structure and the relevant existing research results,and the overall stability of the cantilever beam is checked by using the integral stability formula and the ANSYS nonlinear analysis module.The modal parameters of the cantilever beam were identified,the first five order frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes were read,and the factors affecting the low order frequency were analyzed and compared.The calculated maximum stress cantilever beam 72 wells,compared with the results obtained from the simulation software ANSYS,and found that the expression is reasonable and effective,and the two trend was consistent,The readout of the finite element analysis software through the linear regression method of numerical fitting results and strain results were obtained on the strength and stiffness of the position fitting curves and expressions,Finally,through the orthogonal design method of the parameters of stress and strain effect on sensitivity were found around the web,the offset distance and the thickness of cantilever beam and the influence of the strength of the most significant,Further provides the guidance for the structure design of the cantilever beam.
