As the basic industry of manufacturing,the developmental level of mold industry is of great importance to the development of national economy,especially the defense industry.Many parts of aviation products of modern national defense need to be made by molding,and promoting the lightweight strategy of"steel to plastic"is one of the key research directions to ensure the high level development of aviation technology of national defense.The part with special structure mounted on a kind of device—magazine molding method is researched.The part which has a grid square hole(260mm deep,2mm thick)is a typical kind of thin-wall grid part with deep cavity.Traditionally,aluminum alloy was selected as its materials,and mechanical processing methods were used to make such parts.However,this method has the disadvantages of low material utilization,complicated process,long machining period,poor product consistency and corrosion resistance.In order to solve the above problems,the process method of using polymer material and injection molding to form the magazine was studied in this paper.The structure of the original plastic magazine was analyzed,and a better improvement scheme was set up,which was more suitable for injection molding.According to the use conditions of the magazine,the molding material were screened and the mold design scheme with sprue gate injection system,ejecting by pushing plate,cooling moving and fixed mold plate respectively was put forward according to the characteristic of the magazine.The main factors affecting the injection molding of the magazine were analyzed,and the forming process was optimized.Finally,the low temperature impact toughness in-50?±5?is less than 6J/cm~2 and the maximum warpage value of plastic magazine is less than 1.0mm too,all this can meet design requirements and the magazine has been put into use.Using plastic magazine can reduce the cost of materials,have short processing period,product consistency,weight reduction,quality stability,and many other advantages,the research results can be used in similar products of national defense,and there will also be a good promotion role in other areas.
