In recent years, the research about the Chinese Eastern Railway buildings isdrawing more and more people’s attention, relevant research is increasing sharply.What is noteworthy is that the railway was located in the cold northeast areas,during the construction process, architecture’s thermal insulation firstly get people’sattention, the Chinese Eastern Railway buildings formed mature thermal insulationand heating techniques system, reflected the thermal insulation and heating levels ofthat time.Considering the humid climate of the northeastern areas, all these buildingshave taken the thermal insulation and heating technologies into account. From thelayout aspect, they try to put the cities and buildings together with the surroundingenvironment, so as to make use of the geographical condition; From the singledesign aspect, through the proper building plan, window-wall ratio and shape factor,the thermal insulation and heating technologies become perfect seriously. At last, bythe foyer, basement and loft, the indoor temperature was hardly effected by theoutdoor conditions.From the construction and details, they elaborately choose outwall materials,pay attention to floor constructions, and design details of doors and windows. Theoutwall have two kind of outwall styles. The first was single material, it includedbrick, stone and wood, the second was compound material, it include wood-saw dust,brick-wood, brick-stone, steel-wood and so on. The floor construction include threekind of styles, they are basic, deuterogenic, and compound style. On the aspect ofdoor and window details, they try to avoid the heat consumption, so as to increasethe indoor temperature.From the heating system design, according to the buildings’ scale and class,there are four heating systems, namely fireplace, cooking stove, firewall and centralheating system. The four kind of heating systems make their respective advantagescomplementary to each other, and ensure the comfort of indoor climate.At last, this research can lay foundation for the protection, repair and reuse ofthe Chinese Eastern Railway buildings.
