In recent some years, with extensive application of Self-anchored Suspension Bridge, especially in China, Self-anchored Suspension Bridge is drawing more and more people's attention. It is for aesthetic bridge type of self-anchored suspension bridge and for bargain construction cost. But its design calculation theory, construction monitoring theory and construction technology are weak link, and present theories, design method and construction method all need to be verified, summarized. So it has a important sense for study of these work.Taking the construction process of Chaobai River self-anchored suspension bridge as the background to research, the key technologies and construction monitoring are investigated in this dissertation. The practical and valuable research achievements have provided effective technological support to the accomplishment of Chaobai River Bridge.(1)Incremental launching method the construction of classification in detail, the process of pushing the construction temporary facilities as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the construction method were introduced. The steel-box girders were used incremental launching method, the theoretical value results of the dynamic stress control in the process of steel box girder are in accordance with the monitoring results, which indicates that all results meet the need of warn value. Steel box girders had been sited, steel box girder static stress monitoring results show that the steel box girder stress is lesser after the pushing in place, within the scope of the security. Temporary pier and pushing site displacement monitoring results show that the displacements of 4# temporary pier exists in the process of incremental launching method beyond the warning value, but after adjusted to meet the safety requirements. Temporary pier stress monitoring results show that the temporary pier in the stress state.(2)Mechanical characteristics, computation theory and the construction control of self-anchored suspension bridges were introduced. After construction monitoring of the superstructure of the Chaobai River Bridge, the following conclusions were indicated. The incremental launching method has a small influence on the bottom component of the bridge tower cross-beam, which can relax appropriately in the later monitoring.The construction states of construction monitoring methods and testing data for stress and transformation of steel box girders, crossbeam, tower, happened in the construction of Chaobai River self-anchored suspension bridge, have been recommended. During construction, all the parts of Chaobai River self-anchored suspension bridge have been successfully controlled and the design expectation has been fulfilled.
