With the reform of China?s rail freight needs in depth,cargo transport demand and transport capacities increasingly prominent contradiction. Heavy haul railway modernization has become an important symbol, representing the rail freight transport sector advanced productive forces. With the realization of China's heavy-duty construction and unloading of coal channel lines, large-scale vehicle, axle load gradually increase the development direction of railway vehicles is the only way for heavy transport. The problem is currently existing railroad could or not fit to 27 t axle load freight transport. The model of 27 t axle load freight humping testing situation and the snake peak speed control system, a speed reducer, retarder, switchyard tail slide prevention device has the adaptability, the comparative analysis of the 27 t axle load freight cars with both basic rolling resistance of the truck, parts of the outlet velocity, according to the structure parameters of the new vehicle, the humping efficiency optimization scheme, retarder, brake transformation method the ability to configure the advice of hump shunting yard layout, high peak, brake can be higher for design verification, design strategies are proposed.
