Steel developes over a hundred years, but it is still the material in a wide variety of application that best meet the requirements of sustainable devlopment. Steel structure can show its energy saving, recycling and does good to our environment. It takes economy advantage in the future for a long historical process of structural system. It is called as one of the 21 st century “green architecture”.Tall steel structure is characterized by high, light, soft and the damping is so small that it often excites vibrations when wind excites. The vibrations affect the normal use of the structure, and even cause structural damage. Therefore, human comfort under wind load needs to be controled of super-tall steel structure.Xian Tiancheng is a 57 layer prefabricated tall steel structure.Take a 57 layer prefabricated tall steel structure as a model and analyse human comfort when it under along-wind loads. As follows:(1) Introduce the history of fabricated steel structures, the infrastructure and research about wind effect analysis, the concept of human comfort and structural vibration control.(2) A brief introduction about the general evaluation methods and main standard in different nation codes of human comfort for buildings when they are under wind loads.(3) Introduce simulation of fluctuating wind loads and realization process of harmonic superposition methods. Use matlab to write fluctuaing wind simulation program to simulate the various floors about wind speed of time and wind pressure of time. Compare the analog spectrums with target spectrum to validat the correctness of simulation results.(4) Use element software midas Gen to establish engineering element models. Calculat the peak acceleration in four nation codes: as Chinese codes JGJ 99-1998 and GB50009-2012, ISO-6897, National Building Code of Canada 2005. Validate the correctness about the structural vertex prak acceleration which calculated by midas Gen, and determine whether or not to meet the specification limits of human comfort.(5) Introduce the basic theoretical research about turned mass damper(TMD), include the TMD shock absorbing principle, the TMD model and the best selection of parameters. Apply the calculation model with TMD, compare the calculated peak acceleration with specification limits. The results show that the structural peak acceleration with TMD is significantly reduced, and improve the human comfort.
