China has a high incidence of earthquakes. Over the years, earthquakes make a huge threat to human's property and safety. As the development of earthquake prevention technology, structure is not just “resistance”, In recent years, as the development and application of the isolation theory, more and more people start to research and pay attention to isolation technology, and seismic isolation technology is expected to become the mainstream of structural seismic.Based on the earlier period people's cognition of seismic wave, most of the structural seismic only considered the influence of the horizontal seismic, people generally believed that only such as structure of large span?high fortification intensity need considering the influence of vertical earthquakes, therefore, the scholars only researched isolation on horizontal wave, and researches were relatively lacking isolation of vertical wave. However, in recent years through the experts' further research and the phenomenon of earthquakes, people found that the influence of vertical seismic for structure can't be ignored. Some seismic records have been detected in China and abroad show that when earthquakes coming the vertical acceleration was usually even more than the horizontal acceleration, this has fully demonstrate that the importance of study about is lation on vertical seismic.According to the base isolation theory and Steel bars Asphalt Isolation Layer,Authors design a new isolation device-three-dimensional composite isolation pier in the case of lacking of studying about vertical seismic, it can effectively reduce the impact of horizontal earthquake and vertical seismic. Considering the characteristics of the rural areas in China, the three-dimensional composite isolation pier also have low price and simple structure.At first the article introduced the basic seismic theory and the innovative points of three-dimensional composite isolation pier, and it put the structure characteristics,the calculation model and the design theory of three-dimensional composite isolation pier as the key points,it expounded three-dimensional composite isolation pier 's construction technology and production process, and in the end it recorded a shaking table simulated experiment, through the vibration pickup of the upper structure and the shaking table,judging the effect of isolation by measured the acceleration peak value of the input by shaking table and the acceleration peak value of the output byupper structure through the vibration pickup of the upper structure and the shaking table, And the results of the experiment showed that the effect of isolation of three-dimensional composite isolation pier is very good on horizontal direction and vertical direction. and the accelerations were reduced greatly, and this experiment provides sufficient theoretical basis for three-dimensional composite isolation pier 's application and extension.
