Construction project cost system is working for the construction related enterprise, in order to do their business online. This system can do data statistics, analysis and calculation automatically. With the development of information technology, more and more enterprise users join the system, and there will be a huge number of data enter into the system. To meet the demand of numerous users using the system at the same time; and to reduce the pressure on the server performance and management, which is caused by the rapid growth of traffic and data, cloud computing, a new model could be used as a solution.Firstly, this paper briefly introduces the related technologies of the system based on cloud computing, which can do large-scale computing and storing by applying virtualization and distributed technologies, thus elaborates the feasibility of using cloud computing from the aspects of technology, system management, processing mode and information security etc.Secondly, to do the analysis and design of the construction project cost system based on cloud computing, including the demand analysis, overall design, database design and functional design on cloud computing platform. The system based on cloud computing is designed and developed on the Hadoop platform. It is mainly using the distributed file system HDFS and MapReduce of Hadoop, which are used for storage and computing of the system. It also uses a no-relational database named MongoDB for data storage. The functional design includes user login, design budget review, price upload and calculation, contract filing, which is mainly the design of storage methods for data and files, and the design of query methods for information.Thirdly, to introduce the specific implementation of the cloud computing based system, including how to build a cloud computing platform, the user login authentication, engineering survey entry, the query of construction cost information and labor cost estimation. Finally, to do the comparison between the traditional system and the cloud computing based system, then analyzes the advantages of the system based on cloud computing.Lastly, this paper has a summary of the full text, and points out that the study is still existing shortcomings, which need to be further improved, and finally looks ahead to the practical applications of the construction project cost system based on cloud computing.
