As a new type of flat bulk materials machinery in modern port, spiral flattening machine has strong job adaptability, high efficiency, environmental protection and many other advantages. Therefore, it has broad application prospects. The spiral flattening machine‘s main working methods is conveying materials by spiral blade's rotation and the scraper flat bulk materials. As a new type of flat bulk materials machinery, the original designed machine has no detailed calculation of its stress situation, motor power, etc. In the actual application process, the spiral flattening machine often has the problem of spiral blade's drive motor overload, movement mechanism's drive motor overload and other failures. These failures will seriously affect the operational efficiency of flat materials. Then, the research on performance optimization of spiral flattening machine is very necessary and meaningful.Due to the irregular accumulation of different bulk materials in a train vehicle cabin, the spiral flattening machine's spiral rotation speed, linear speed, and depth of the depression spiral pusher mechanism are different. In the process of spiral flattening machine flat materials, the drag torque and running resistance are different. Therefore, this thesis is mainly done the following work:(1) Generally introduce the composition and working principle of spiral flattening machine, especially a detailed description of the main working mechanism, spiral pusher mechanism's work principle. Establish a kinematic model of the working state of bulk materials, and analyze axial velocity and circumferential speed in the state of spiral rotation.(2) Theoretically classify the work conditions of spiral flattening machine, and establish the EDEM simulation model. Theoretically analyzed and discussed the relationship between the matching of spiral speed and running speed. When declined spiral pusher mechanism to a certain height, under the conditions of the combination at different linear speeds of running mechanism and different rotation speeds of spiral pusher mechanism for multi-group simulation, obtained renderings after flat bulk materials under different speeds combined conditions. Analysis the results under a combination of different speeds simulation, and analysis the renderings and data of the results, we can get a more reasonable speed matching model. And at a more reasonable speed matching model conditions to study the effect flat bulk materials impact of spiral pusher mechanism descent altitude.(3) Then use the bulk materials physical science, Rankine earth pressure theory to analyze the source of spiral flattening machine's resistance and establish a theoretical resistance model. Extracting the data results of spiral blade drag torque, resistance and scraper resistance from the simulation process EDEM of different speed combined conditions. The results were compared and analyzed for future research and development and practical application of the new spiral flattening machine, and provide some simulation evidence and guidance.
