The Exploration To Narrative Landscape Design Of RBD In Wuhan

As RBD is an important carrier of urban tourism which combines recreational and commercial organically, and have both leisure, sightseeing, shopping, entertainment, dining, and other functions, is the first choice for people’s Daily travel, also reflected the city culture. In recent years, most studies of recreational business district focused on a macro level research of the functional forms, formation mechanism and planning. Lack of entity level research like landscape design and cultural communication. This article research on the landscape design of recreational business district from narrative sight. Analysis the relationship between landscape space of RBD and cultural communication based on narrative theory, summarize the approaches with narrative landscape design of RBD,help to make site information becoming more easier to read and understand. Thus to build a more vibrant RBD space.This paper do numerous studies on landscape narrative theory and cases, and make depth discussion on the expression of RBD’s landscape design. In the first place, this article entirely summarized the formation background, development and related studies of landscape narrative theory and gave a basic concept to it. Secondly, this paper make studies on the concept, classification and expression mechanism of RBD, including the three elements and two process. Clarify the ensemble and site principle of landscape narrative. Thirdly, the paper make thorough analysis and summary on the expression of RBD’s landscape narrative in these three ways: the construction of theme, the building of scene and the arrangement of clue. Finally, this article summarized the formation and classification of RBD in Wuhan, differentiate RBD of Wuhan into two type: the shaping of cultural theme and the transformation of historical site. The paper defined the research scope, chose two typical RBD in Wuhan City and explore the narrative landscape design of them, summarized their features and shortcomings.This paper referred to narrative theories, summed up the expression in RBD of narrative landscape design, analyzed the specific application of narrative landscape design in RBD of Wuhan City, provide references for future’s RBD construction work in Wuhan.
