With the rapid development of equipment manufacturing industry, the use of high pollution, high-risk fluid medium is increasing, the leakage of hazardous substances have deeply influenced on environment and personal safety. The pressure vessel is used to storage and transports the fluid medium; it plays an important role in the industrial production process. Single eccentric butterfly valve is a kind of regulating valve which is widely used in pressure vessel; it has a great impact on the overall sealing performance of the pressure vessel.The research focused on the mechanical properties of single eccentric butterfly valve in nuclear power plant, through the combination of numerical simulation and theoretical calculation, the research established a leakage rate model of single eccentric butterfly valve. According to the literature reading of typical static sealing, the research use numerical simulation way to analyze the impact of sealing performance parameters and structure size on the mechanical properties. At the same time, the research gives suggestions for the selection of single eccentric butterfly valve and structure optimization;on this basis, the research study the mechanical properties of sealing under operating conditions, internal and external pressure of the fluid medium impact on the mechanical properties of sealing. With the literature reading about sealing surface conditions, in the basis of Hertz contact stress theory, the research combines sealing contact stress with roughness model that gives the surface appearance in the case of compression at the micro level; With the use of porous media model, the research calculates the seal pair leakage rate and gives a single eccentric butterfly valve leakage rate model. Through some research on the sealing mechanism, the leakage rate model established in this research can be widely used in static sealing.The research gives a reliable single eccentric butterfly valve leakage rate model that provides a theoretical basis for the single eccentric butterfly valve design and selection;the same model applicable to calculate other static sealing leakage rate which beneficial to leakage rate experiment.
