With the growth of the population and decrease of building area, it is becoming more and more important to deepen the research of building construction on the surface of mining area. To respond the government's policy of saving and taking full advantage of resources and sustainable development.(1) The research of spreading depth under additional stress of the building load in the subsidence area. Using the theories of foundation specification and mining subsidence. According to the critical value of spreading depth, the load and layers of the buildings can be worked out.(2) The research of whether the cracks of building are related to movement and deformations of the ground. To begin with a specific engineering project, and after analyzing the project data measured in situ.(3) According to the effect on different positions of different building in subsidence area, and applying the theory method, the feasibility of the new buildings in the surface engineering area is analyzed. The analysis above explains the impacting mechanism between the buildings and ground in the mining area. It will play a significant role in instructing the designing and reinforcing of buildings in the mining area.
