In the process of gas transmission and distribution,low voltage regulator is an important part of gas pipeline system.Nowadays,the service pattern of the regulator is periodic maintenance ways.It is resulting in engage a lot of manpower and waste lots of time and it could also damage the regulator machine.Therefore,we based on the low pressure gas regulator which is representational as the research object,and then we designed the fault diagnosis and Safety Warning System for gas regulator based on empirical mode decomposition algorithm,by reading the regulator`s outlet pressure and analysis the pressure date to diagnosis the running state of the regulator.We developed two versions of online and offline.The system of the offline version has finish the system detection for more than 200 regulator box,and the online version has been successfully embedded Beijing gas production operating platform,more than 500 regulator stations of the Beijing Gas Groupis under the real-time monitoring.From the results,the system can predict the running trend of the regulator accurately according its operation condition,eliminate the danger in the bud;with on-demand service instead of scheduled one,reduce the maintenance cost,improve the labor productivity for gas enterprises.It also provide the necessary technical support to reduce the hidden danger and equipment failure rate.
