Research On The Pedestrian System Of Public Space In Rail Transit Complex

As the urban land use is intensified and the rail transit develops rapidly,the rail transit terminal complex is generally favored by people with its convenience of traffic and highly hybrid of functions,and begins to be built in many cities.The rail transit terminal complex is a complex of urban traffic and architectural functions.The pedestrian system in its public space is not only served for traffic transfer,but also connects all parts of each function,and contains some urban activities.If we say that the terminal complex is human’s body,the pedestrian system is the blood in it.This shows that the pedestrian system in public space play a vital role in the highly efficient operation of terminal complex.Studied on the pedestrian system in public space of rail transit terminal complex,started from the problems exposed in the use process of terminal complex,and combined with the basic research of relative concepts,theory and excellent cases,the paper specifically analyzes the characteristics,functions,elements,influential factors and development trend of the pedestrian system in public space,and put forward the design points of pedestrian system in public space: the composite integration of function,dimensional organization of pedestrian,suitable form of space and humane environmental facilities.Taking the Xizhimen rail transit terminal complex as the object of empirical study,focused on the problems exposed in the use of pedestrian system in public space,and combined with the design points summarized above,the paper brings forward specific advices to improve the design.
