| In order to meet the requirements of city construction and landscaping beautification, more and more power lines are built on power cables and the power cable is playing an increasingly important role in the power grid system. However, due to the lagging improvement of maintenance abilities of power cable lines compared with the growth rate of power infrastructures, the operations of power cables and cable pipelines are faced with tremendous pressure. How to manage the existing cable network has become a strategic issue for power supply management department to improve the operation level of cable network. With the widely use of power cables, the needs of performance monitoring and historical data are increasing. Meanwhile, the first batch of cable lines is approaching the service life limit, which increases the insulation problems of cables. Modern technologies are needed to prevent operation accidents caused by overloading and overheating and to ensure the safety of power supply system not been diminished by pipeline water and combustible gas. Thus the power system needs a sound cable performance monitoring system.The technology of comprehensive online monitoring and design of integrated monitoring platform are studied in this paper. By studying the current online monitoring system of power cables and researches of monitoring technologies, the existing problems are analyzed and the improvement plans are proposed. Through the calculation of temperature and steady state load of cable conductor, the relationship between cable heating and steady state load flow is summarized. The online monitoring platform is implemented with programming language. In the end, the system is applied and tested in a power drain project o f Tianjin. Through the application of the comprehensive online monitoring system it is achieved that real-time monitoring of a variety of statements such as pipeline anti-theft, operation environment, high-voltage cable body and so on. As a result, the ano malies and malfunctions of power cables and cable pipelines can be detected and processed in advance, so as to save manpower, material and financial costs, and to protect the safe, reliable and cost-effective operation of the power cables and cable pipelines. |
