| In recent years,the number and scale of the town expands unceasingly in our country,which has result in the phenomenon of urban agglomeration.And nowadays urban agglomeration has become a force to promote the rapid development of our economy and the main platform to participate in international economic cooperation and competition.Especially in recent years,the planning and construction of the urban agglomeration has risen sharply in our country.With the development of regional integration,it has become increasingly close between different cities in the division of labor cooperation,and the political,cultural and economic exchanges also become more and more frequent,as a result,the inter-city travel demand has achieved a rapid growth.Travel purpose has become more diversified.In former days people travel between cities mainly for official business or commercial affairs,and now it is maybe for tourism,shopping or any other purpose.In order to meet the demand of residents’ inter-city transportation within the urban agglomeration,support economic and social development needs of urban agglomerations,it is imperative to establish a comprehensive transportation network with powerful supply ability and high transportation efficiency.With the purpose of studying passengers’ urban agglomeration travel mode choice behavior,this paper took passengers who were travelling in the urban agglomeration as the research objects,and the main research contents were as following: at first the basic connotation and characteristics of the urban agglomeration were introduced,and the traffic system characteristics of the urban agglomeration was analyzed from three aspects: travel demand,the network & node characteristics and passenger transportation mode;Then on the basis of the definition of resident trip,the trip of urban agglomeration was defined,and the whole process of the urban agglomeration travel was analyzed;Next,two related basic theories of the travel choice behavior analysis were introduced : random utility theory and the theory of planned behavior,what’s more,their applicability in the field of traffic behavior were analyzed;and then the urban agglomeration travel mode choice behavior model was established by using the nested Logit model,which was belonged to the discrete choice model.In the model,the intercity travel phase was placed on upper stage of the selection tree and the within city travel phase was placed on lower stage,and the within city travel utility made impact on intercity travel choice behavior through Logsum variable;Finally,the parameters of the model was calibrated and validated by the use of the Chengdu-Chongqing Urban Agglomeration passenger travel survey data,and according to the result of parameter calibration,passengers’ urban agglomeration travel mode choice behavior characteristics were analyzed and summarized,and the time and cost elastic value of various intercity travel mode in passenger transportation channel were calculated to make quantitative analysis on their influence on passengers’ choice probability under the existing condition of time and fare level,for the purpose of providing theoretical reference to the governments and enterprises when making traffic strategies.The main conclusions are:1.There exists positive correlation between passengers’ chioce probability of a certain urban agglomeration inter-city travel mode and the travel utility of the corresponding within-city travel mode.with the increase of the within-city travel phase utility,the utility of the corresponding inter-city travel utility travelers felt can also increase.As a result,the chioce probability of this type of intercity travel mode can be raised.2.For various urban agglomeration inter-city travel mode,the travel time and cost elastic values are not identical,reflecting that passengers have different time and cost sensitivity to different travel modes under the existing condition of travel time and fare level. |
