Since the 1990's,with China's great investment and the local highway construction department's efforts,the highway construction in our country has already obtained a great-leap-forward development,and now our country's total mileage of highways is at the top in the world.The highway bridges constructed at the large-scale construction period have complicated and numerous components,so there are unavoidably a variety of technique problems in engineering qualities of many bridges.What 's more,with the influence of natural disasters,the lack of maintenance funds,the increasing traffic,the speed increasing and the overload of vehicles,the impact and abrasion on bridges are more and more serious,making the loading ability of many bridges obviously lower.What's worse,some bridges are on the verge of losing their structure function,which is far from the ability of ensuring normal transportation in the highway and has seriously influenced the safety of vehicles.There is no doubt that the improvement of transportation infrastructure plays a significant role in promoting economic development,but there are some higher requests for traffic management departments at all levels: in order to effectively make sure bridges are always in good service level in the ir life span and take more specific measures to maintain and reinforce bridges ' defective components,the key is how to control the technique condition of the bridges in time.This paper first generalizes the history and present development of domestic and international assessment in bridge technique condition and elaborates the important research achievements and recent research progress that have been made in bridge management and bridge evaluation at home and abroad.Then it briefly introduces the methods of assessing bridge technique condition commended by the Ministry of Transport in related norms.This paper takes the concrete beam bridge as an example,following the norms,introduces the analytic hierarchy process of weighted interval and methods of assessing misty mathematics,and makes a proper adjustment in the order of assessing the item of each part in the concrete beam bridge.Then,it adopts the method combining layering comprehensive assessment and five types of technique conditions of controlling the index to access each component and each part of the bridge one by one,and then assess the upper part structure,lower part structure and the surface in turn.At last,it gives each assessment result a relevant weighted value and adds them up to get the assessment of the bridge's total technique condition.As for the application example,it takes a certain reinforced concrete beam bridge in Sichuan province as a sampling object.First,it carries on a general examination of it.Then according to the result,it assesses the technique condition by using the assessing process and method in hand,and compares the assessment result with that got by using recommended method in the norms,which proves that the method put forward in this paper is practical and effective.The method can make bridge's damage degree clear and guides the direction and point of its protection and maintenance.
