With the continuous development and maturity of the Chinese civil engineering, The requirements for Civil Engineering Specialty of the hige education is getting higher and higher, which continuously promotes the advancement and change of those structural mechanics courses. In order to meet the demand for innovation of the structural mechanics in domestic universities, many of them have carried out some researches for the structural mechanics of deepening reform. By the summary and evaluation of past experience for teaching, combined with the current demand for teaching structural mechanics and actual situation, this research have designed the practice teaching platform for the structural mechanics, and compiled the corresponding experimental guidance manual. In order to help students more easily accepted and proficiency in the use of structural mechanics software, this paper tries to evaluate the existing structural mechanics software, find the advantages and disadvantages. These actions could build a more comprehensive new situation of structural mechanics teaching, support and promote the further development of structural mechanics teaching. The detailed research works are as follows:(1) A triangular truss shape fixed structure mechanics experimental device is designed, the experimental device can achieve a variety of loading methods and measure a number of structured data. Through the experiments, the bending moment, axial force and displacement of the structure are determined, the ANSYS analysis software is used to analyze the experimental device, the theoretical value and the experimental value are compared, and finally the basic concepts and theoretical verification of various structural mechanics are verified. this experimental device provides a more reasonable test platform.(2) A free combination of structural mechanics experimental device is designed, the device can be assembled to different structure according to the experimental needs and students' creativity for the self-designed experiments.By measuring the bending moment and displacement values, the statically indeterminate beam, the statically determinate rigid frame, the force method and the displacement method are verified. From the practice of the four set of experiments, the operation is relatively simple and clear. Bar assembly and strain gauge paste is easy to operate, suitable for any students without any experience. From the experimental data of four groups of structural mechanics, the experimental device can satisfy the requirements of Higher Education Undergraduates for structural mechanics experiments, and the experimental precision is higher. The safety and reliability of this experiment is very high, and there is no significant component of the experiment, which greatly reduces the possibility of accidental injury. This device has good practical value, it is worth to be popularized.(3) By evaluating the existing structural mechanics software, the advantages and disadvantages are pointed, the guidance and suggestions are given for the improvement of the follow-up needs. The software calculation shows that the calculation process is simple, suitable for users who is getting started in structural mechanics. In the using process it could get the results, at the same time it is conducive to the students to master the structure and elements of the basic parameters of the definition, and guide students to expand their practice. The software is subject to several shortcomings, such as complicated structure of input, data of each unit can only separate input, easy to confuse the mistake. Output data can not directly show the internal force distribution and displacement variation, the degree of visualization is also the shortage, which is a big improvement space. Ultimately through improved data visualization software output reached considerable results.
