| As China has been aging increasingly fast,contradictions that the construction of community service facilities lags behind the increasing aging population become progressively prominent.As an important part of community public service facilities,community center plays an important role in "the elderly life circle" advocated by Chinese government and provides convenient services for the elderly.Against the background of aging society,this article,on the basis of meeting the multi-level needs of the elderly,studies the design strategy of the community center.With the transformation of the physical condition and social role of the old people,the elderly have different physical and psychological demands,leading to corresponding changes of the elderly’s activity space scope,organizational form and types.In the west,construction in the community center originated in the late 18 th century,and with the development of community management it becomes mature and perfect.In our country,the community center plays an important role in the society of the city,which is regarded as the material carrier of community public activities.Its function is significant and it generally has four types : a community commercial type;community administrative service type;recreational and sports activities type and comprehensive function type.With the progress of new technology and new ideas,the construction of community center shows trend of focusing on elder-oriented service facilities,sustainability and humane or regional development.This article selects Xin Cheng & Shi Hui neighborhood center the of Suzhou Industrial Park as the research object and researches elders’ needs of the community center in activities,the use of functional requirements and the external environment.Combining the basic theory research and analysis of survey data,this paper argues that the community center design needs to stick to principle of suitability,safety,accessibility and user-friendliness,and puts forward design strategy in several aspects such as planning layout,space organization,function structure,internal space and external environment.This paper makes an exploratory research on the design strategy of the community center under the social aging background and it expected to provide certain theoretical support and practical guidance for the design of the present and the future community center. |
