This paper stars with the study situation of equipment maintenance management, then introduces it's development history and existent problems. And according to the study situation of domestic and international, puts forward the advice that uses the RCM(Reliability-Centered Maintenance)in the equipment maintenance management.On the basis of analyzing the RCM theory, emphasizes the selection of three maintenance modes. Traditional maintenance decision is based on the experience of managers and technicians , therefore maintenance randomicity is great and maintenance is excess or inadequate because personnel changes and incomplete data. It is necessary to use the RCM theory to classify maintenance objects by equipment based on equipment reliability, maintenance, economic and other factors, determine what equipment should be maintenance mode, as breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance and condition based maintenance to achieve equipment maintenance cycle cost economy and the highest utilization rate.Factors affecting the choice of maintenance are much, some can quantify and some can not quantify but qualitative analysis, and evaluation of the factors is often fuzzy. Multifactor fuzzy comprehensive evaluation is a better method, which can solve multifactor and multilayer fuzzy evaluation problem, and AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) is a very effective method of determining the weight of coefficient to qualitative and quantitative factors of the complex system. Based on the above analysis, the paper decides to adopt multilayer fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to make the weight of coefficient simple and make programming of the calculation procedures more convenient.Preventive maintenance cycle is an important indicator, if the cycle is too short, which not only increases maintenance time and cost of repairs, but also affects the equipment inherent reliability and utilization. If the cycle is too long, which can cause undue losses because the system failure. Therefore reasonable conformability of preventive maintenance cycle is necessary demand of scientific equipment maintenance decision.Preventive maintenance cycle is often confirmed by a certain factors, such as the most available or the smallest total cost. But to do so have one-sidedness, the different factors have different objectives function so that the results are often disaffiliates and sometimes even have a big difference. So this paper adopts fuzzy theory to determine the best preventive maintenance cycle through multifactor synthesizing.The maintenance decision process involves a lot of matrix and matrix calculations are more complex and cumbersome, if precision of calculations is sketchy, the results may be incorrect. MATLAB language has higher precision. For convenient, fast and accurate decision, the author uses MATLAB to program interface of maintenance mode decision and interface of maintenance cycle decision.
