Project Collaboration Delivery System Selection

Selecting the appropriate project delivery models can effectively improve the performance of the project. However, no single project delivery model can be applied to all projects. The stakeholders of the project need to consider many factors when making the decision of choosing the right project delivery system. With the increasingly complex environment and construction conditions, it requires the various stakeholders of the project to fully coordination to ensure project successful in the end. However, at present, in the field of engineering project delivery mode selection, there is a lack of researches about fully considering the angle of each stakeholder when selecting the project delivery system.This dissertation mainly aims at selecting the appropriate project delivery system in collaborative environment, considering all stakeholders of the project. First, through extensive literature review, this dissertation analyzes different project delivery systems, and summarized the advantages and disadvantages of these project delivery systems. And then, by Social Network Analysis, this dissertation defined the weight of different stakeholders of a project. After that, the criteria considered by stakeholders when selecting project delivery system are analyzed and classified into 4 categories, which is project performance, stakeholder collaboration, contract concerns as well as the external environment. Next, based on considering multi actors and multi criteria, this dissertation using the method of MAMCA to analysis the selection of different project delivery systems under collaboration environment. Through the case analysis, this dissertation summarizes the scores of different project delivery models marked by the project stakeholder, and through the overall analysis and individual analysis, this compares the strengths and weaknesses of the collaborative project delivery models.In general, this dissertation analyzed the project stakeholders' preferences, position, and their respective concern by Multi Actor Multi Criteria Analysis when selecting project delivery systems under collaborative environment. This dissertation not only contributes to the theory of selecting project delivery system, but also made contribution to enhancing the collaboration between the stakeholders of project thus improving the project performance.
