In previous simulation systems, the strong wind factor is not considered enough. But in some certain areas, we can’t neglect it. Not only will the strong wind threaten the safe operation of the cable cranes, but also the concrete pouring process of this dam. The high arch dams with mass volume of concrete are always equipped with multiple crane platforms and feeding platforms. The interference and cooperation of the cable cranes has great influence on the dam pouring and the precision and reliability of the simulating results.The dam of a hydro-power project is located in the specific area of the Jinsha River and is affected by the terrain and weather condition. From December to March of the next year, the days in a year with the wind over 7 degrees is more than 70. The scheme double track platform with 7 cable cranes and double feeding platform is chosen for the concrete placement. During the operation and maintenance stage, there is great mutual interference among the cable cranes. In this project, the impact of the strong wind and cable crane interference can’t be neglected. But previous simulating system is not able to handle this problem. So it is essential to research into the impact of strong wind and crane interference to this project and their simulating strategies.The construction process of the arch dam is affected by the natural environmental factors, especially the wind force factor which not only has an influence on the safe operation of the cable cranes but also will affect the dam pouring process. Moreover, this dam is equipped with more cable cranes and the cable crane platform and feeding platform is complex. There is not much previous research on this situation of the simulation model.The interference problem among the cable cranes during the pouring process of the concrete dam, especially the concrete dam, is introduced in this paper. The spatial and conflict analysis is adopted to solve the problem. Along with the research situation of concrete dam pouring simulation, the rules of are put forward and added to the simulation module of concrete dam pouring process to solve the problem of the cable cranes interference of double cable crane platform and double feeding platform. The effects of strong winds on concrete dam pouring simulation is also discussed and three kinds of method is used to simulate the impact of the strong wind on the pouring process. We also set a number of simulation comparison schemes for validation.
