There are various kinds of types of space structure, and each type has its unique advantages. There are also very big differences on the architectural modeling, force and economy. The paper will analysis the structure type selection and of the the central entrance hall, exhibition hall and its curtain wall structure of National Convention and Exhibition Center. MIDAS is used when analysising the mechanical properties and characteristics.Four string concave truss structure used in the exhibition hall. This paper introduces its characteristics and load analysis,140 kinds of load combination is considerd to analysis the stress ? deformation ? natural vibration characteristics and forces under seismic action, the internal force distribution ? deformation features ? stiffness distribution?herringbone column supports mechanical properties of the four string concave truss structure is obtained. Then through the comparison of the V four string concave truss structure ? grid structure and pre-tressed space structures,and the cpmparison of all those types of structures, their advantages and disadvantages on mechanical properties and economic evaluation is obtained.In this paper, the characteristics of the tension-rod truss which is applied in the curtain wall of National Convention and Exhibition Center's entrance hall is described in detail. By the finite element model building and taking the gravity ? wind ?temperature and the seismic action into consideration, the analysis on ultimate limit state and natural vibration characteristics is made. Then results in the characteristics of the structure? weak part?each frequency order and vibration mode of the curtain wall are obtained.In this paper, the characteristics and parameter values of the tree structure system of National Convention and Exhibition Center's entrance hall is described in detail. In the study, by taking 92 kinds of load combination into consideration and analysis in stress ? deformation ? natural vibration characteristics and forces under seismic action, the internal force distribution ? deformation features ? frequency and the vibration mode of the tree structure is obtained. Then through the comparison of the tree structure and the forest structure in mechanics, the conclusion is obtained that the forest structure is better than the tree structures in integral rigidity ? cooperative working performance and homogenous degree of support reaction.
