Automotive lightweight was to save energy,reduce the environmental pollution,improve the automobile fuel oil efficiency,which was one of the important measures to select special automobile chassis beam for lightweight design.We made a calculation analysis about the overall frame strength,stiffness and fatigue life in order to reduce special automobile chassis frame mechanical properties.In order to design a good chassis beam could be used in actual production,therefore,we made a research on high strength steel hot stamping on the chassis beam technology.This paper first introduced the main purpose about the automobile lightweight,which was about the main approaches of the special automobile chassis beam forming parts included the structure,material and advanced technology.Chassis parts material mechanical performance test and material fatigue experiments,we had got the chassis parts and material mechanics performance parameters of components and the fatigue life curve,which provided the accuracy material parameter about the designed for lightweight chassis beam,the overall frame strength and stiffness analysis and frame fatigue life calculation and analysis,guarantee the accuracy of the calculation and analysis.Selected the 22MnB5 high strength steel and active Q345 low-alloy steel,theoretical analysis was carried out on the force of the beam parts,chassis beam finite element simulation technology of components for lightweight design,the resulted show that the active U perforated structure beams were prone to stress concentration,made the parts early to achieve yield.Moreover,if we selected the high strength steel W shaped beam structure,the security not only significantly improved,but also the weight about 69% lower than active parts and light effect was remarkable.In order to ensure the W beam can satisfy the mechanical properties of the frame,we made a calculation on the whole frame including frame strength and stiffness analysis and the frame fatigue life,through the finite element simulation,the resulted show that it was concluded that used the W beam structure frame of the mechanical properties,which was not lower than using a U shaped beam framestructure,and the mechanics performance improved a lot,which could satisfy the performance requirements of the vehicle,made the vehicle more safe and reliable.Finally,we made a hot stamping technology research about the optimized W high strength steel,chassis beam for high strength steel hot stamping technology could produce by adopted satisfy the dimensional accuracy,good surface quality and good efficiency,high product percent of pass of W beam chassis parts.By the method of edge W beam parts we did tensile experiments on six different positions with mechanics performance test,the resulted show that the tensile strength of different position relative to experiment to get the tensile strength of 1340 MPa there will was a slight difference,but overall mechanical performance change was not very big,which could satisfy the special for the actual run time,the strength,stiffness and fatigue performance requirements.
