So the author thinks that, as the terminal building design practitioners, it is necessary to design the shape of the landmark building traffic thorough investigation, combined with the actual engineering cases are summarized.The terminal from the scale, can be divided into small and large hub, several categories; from plane configuration, can be divided into the forefront of type, type, type refers to the gallery hall, satellite transport vehicle type and mixed type in several categories; from the process, can be divided into a layer, a layer of semi-, two layer and multilayer type categories. This paper selected the most representative classification in various projects carried out evidence and analysis, in order to try to find some method of universal design. The most representative case, is the typical terminal. Therefore, the purpose of the study is analysis of the design principle of typical terminal, so as to provide some terminal point design and control points for readers.Firstly, the development history of the terminal building design reviews, and access to important information of existing literature, the terminal design theory has been studied. Then through the analysis of typical cases of Chinese and foreign design terminal, combined with work experience, separately from the terminal of the scale of construction, process, configuration, organization flow, location factors, regionalism style and the structure analysis of the contemporary terminal modeling design features. Not only on the previous terminal design techniques are summarized, but also on the shape design of the future trend of the terminal are discussed.
