With the speed-up of the urbanization process and increase of vehicles on highway, level crossing roads failed to meet the transportation demands, which brings boom of viaduct construction in major cities. Massive risks definitely abound in such a massive construction of viaduct with high speed. And when compared with other risks, construction risk is most likely to emerge in the process of bridge construction.Firstly, this thesis analyzes situations at home and abroad of the bridge project risk assessment, introduces implementation processes of all kinds of aspects in risk assessment. Secondly, A Highway Viaduct Project is taken as an example for the construction risk assessment. On the basis of establishing the risk identification model, the Delphi method is mainly used in the identification of construction risk factors of the A Highway Viaduct project, through which a final list of risks is obtained. And a risk assessment model is established and FAHP is applied to determine the weight of construction risk factors of A Highway Viaduct project. Then a quantitative assessment of the project’s construction risk is conducted by applying the fuzzy comprehensive method. It is finally concluded that the project risk level is "high", namely, high risk exists in the project. The quantitative assessment result provides a strong argument for the strategy-making of coping project risk. According to the risk assessment results, strategies to cope project risk and detailed measures are proposed in this thesis, which effectively improves the level of risk management in the project. Not only can the study guide risk management in the project, but also act as reference to assess risk of similar viaduct project.
