Clean energy has got a rapid growth in recent years. Solar generation system which is as the representative of the renewable-energy is the most potential resource due to the advantages of abundant reserves and widely distribution. Since the problems such as the global energy shortage and environmental pollution have become increasingly critical, photovoltaic power generation as a clean, safe, convenient, and efficient energy generation system, has become attractive emerging industry of the world. The acceleration of solar system industry development has a significant importance to the economic development mode transformation and industrial structure adjustment. Decision of the State Council on Accelerating the Fostering and Development of Strategic Emerging Industries has been published, which point out the status of photovoltaic power generation industry.Five distributed photovoltaic generation projects which located in Kaifeng City had been designed with theory research and actual projects in basic-level units of Henan Power Grid Company. The maintenance and efficiency of the projects also have been analyzed.The general background of distributed photovoltaic generation projects is been introduced in this article, with the explanation of the tech-principle. Classification and characteristics of solar photovoltaic cells has been expounded with comparison of principle, cost, efficiency and application of three kinds of solar photovoltaic cells. Instruction of technology principle, equipment requirements, equipment selection also has been presented in the introduction of the photovoltaic system. Theoretical basis and technical guidance has been provided for the distributed photovoltaic generation projects with researching and analyze of different photovoltaic system components choice.The maintenance system, support system, equipment selection, photovoltaic modules design, monitoring and control system, inverter, lightning protection system and grid system of distributed photovoltaic generation projects have been designed and described with focusing on selection criteria and technical requirements. The estimation of the project operation and benefit also has been analyzed in the last section of the paper.In September, the rationality of the design scheme has been verified in the preliminary test results. All function has reached the requirement.
