The ship sailing in the ocean often meets unpredictable risks such as strong wind, big wave, floating wandering. It is easy to cause broken or fatigue damage of ship hull structure, If these problems are not be found and take effective measures in time, it will lead to a great disaster.Ship Hull Structure Long Term Monitor System(SHSLTMS) is used for real-time monitoring the important structure, key components and sensitive parts of the ship hull. SHLTMS is also used for ship hull strength on-line assessment and knowing about the stress state of each part of ship hull under each sea condition. It is of great significance for ensuring the safety of ship structure and crew,guiding the ship's manipulation and assessing the ship's hull life.This paper design a structure long term monitor system for jack-up rig, focus on the selection of observation points,general design plan, system hardware design and selection plan, system software design plan,illustration and analysis of the problems meet after installation.The design of jack-up rig structure long term monitor system is against the background of ship safety and intelligent navigation. The main part of this paper is described as follows: Firstly, the test point area is obtained through the platform's structure overall strength analysis. Secondly, detailed description about the selection of the one-direction, three-direction stress sensors and specific design of signal conditioning module. Then, the next part is specific design description of system software, the two main parts are live monitoring program and the historical data analysis program. The Last part is the description of the system problems remained after installation.At the end of the paper is about the work summary and outlook of follow-up works.
