Nowadays, with the rapid development of Chinese economy, large-scale civil engineering construction has been carried out all over the country. Full hall steel tubular scaffold with couplers has been widely used in the engineering construction by right of its flexible and simple structure, convenient maintenance, component versatility. With the construction of aboveground part becoming saturated, people gradually to look into the underground space. Because of underground space is narrow, the height-width ratio of the scaffold that used in the construction process were low. And there usually have walls around the scaffold to restrain it. But at present the design about the full hall steel tubular scaffold with couplers whose height-width ratio is low in current specification of our country Technical code for safety of steel tubular scaffold with couplers in construction JGJ130-2011 is not perfect.It can not give the actual use of reference effect adequately. So it is necessary to conduct systematic experimental research of the full hall steel tubular scaffold with couplers, especially those with a low height-width ratio or with wall connecting piece, so as to provide scientific basis for future revision of the specification.Based on full hall steel tubular scaffold with couplers as the research object, firstly optimize the structure of the traditional full hall steel tubular scaffold with couplers, puts forward a kind of full hall steel tubular scaffold with couplers which top-level is enhanced. And then 18 original scale experimental research of the full hall steel tubular scaffold with couplers with different erection parameters such as pole space, step distance, height-width ratio, bracing build-up way, wall connecting pieces build-up way, fastener tightening torque, the thickness of steel tube, the build-up way of the top-level and load range has been launched. And its bearing capacity, the shape of broken, and bar stress analysis, etc has been researched.Based on the experimental results, the design method of full hall steel tubular scaffold with couplers has been researched. According to the different height-width ratio, the critical load of full hall steel tubular scaffold with couplers has been classified. And the critical load of full hall steel tubular scaffold with couplers has been reasonably adjusted and promote based on the conclusions of the related literature and the current specification. According to the critical load of the scaffold with different erection parameters which have been promoted, the effective length coefficient ? of the pole with different erection parameters has been derived.
