The energy consumption of building will become the largest energy-consuming industrial in society, and energy consumption of heating, ventilation and other operating energy consumption is more than one third of the whole society consumption. A large number of primary energy cons umption not only resulting in energy shortage, but also can deteriorate the urban micro-environment, especially recently the fog and haze occur frequently in Beijing, Tianjin. So the country pay more attention to the renewable energy application. Among them, the shallow geothermal energy, with its unique advantages, is promoted and supported by the country. In addition, the road of snow and ice become significant risks for safety traffic and travel in northern winter, meanwhile there are many drawbacks and environmental problems with the traditional methods for road snow melting and deicing.In this paper, considering the thermal imbalances of the ground source heat pump in application and the need of snow melting and deicing on road, the hybrid system feasibility of road snow melting & deicing system coupled ground source heat pump is explored.The heat transfer of exchanger was tested on the experimental system of pavement-solar, and analyzed the operational data in the snow day, determined the heat transfer rate per square meter of snow melting and deicing. Snow days per year on average is given according the three years statistical data in Tianjin. On this basis, the building in Tianjin is researched object, simulating energy consumption with eQUEST energy simulation software, the building using ground source heat pump for heating and cooling. The average cooling load in summer is 1.3 times of average heating load in winter, in this case, using the system of road snow melting and deicing to balance the thermal energy discharge from heat pump unit, the theoretical analysis area of pavement for snow melting and deicing to match building. Then the complex hybrid system of road snow melting and deicing coupled with ground source heat pump is simulated by TRNSYS simulation software. Cooling mode is combined ground pipe buried directly and heat pump unit according to the building load changes, in winter, the system using ground heat pump for heating, at the same time, snow melting and deicing on road is realized. Simulation results show that the soil temperature is higher 4.1? than the original at the end of the cooling in summer, the average operational efficiency of the heat pump unit is 5.0, at the end of winter heating, soil temperature decreased to 12.5?, the average operational efficiency of the heat pump is 3.3. The outlet temperature of road snow melting and deicing at about 4?, is higher than normal road surface temperature, in this system use ethylene glycol as circulating medium for road melting snow and deicing. This hybrid system not only solves the thermal imbalance of ground source heat pump, but also improve road safety factor of snow days using soil seasonal storage, and saving energy effectively.
