Application Research Of Detailed Design Based On BIM Technology

Along with the rapid development of science and technology, the program and efficiency of the project construction has been increased in construction industry. However, the development is slowed down and the construction efficiency is decreased because of the technology and management level being updated slowly. The performances in the construction process are: construction delay; quality reduction; low efficiency; imperfect safety management system and uncomprehensive communication between the engineers. The construction technology and management level during the construction stage are increased with the application of BIM(Building Information Modeling), where information database covered design and construction stages is established. Designers can deepen the construction drawings efficiently. The utilization factor of the database during the construction stage will be improved with detailed design by using BIM. It offers a platform for the construction stages, information's integration and sharing to realize the aim of detailed design. In this paper, application of detailed design based on BIM is researched combined the domestic research status of BIM, which is a very important point for the engineering construction industry in C hina. Firstly, problems of construction delay, quality reduction, low efficiency, imperfect safety management system and uncomprehensive communication between the engineers in the traditional construction stage are stated, reasons of the above are analyzed and detailed design based on BIM is an effective method to resolve the shop drawing problems; secondly, BIM software and its application are introduced, advantages and disadvantages of softwares at home and abroad are analyzed to choose the best software for the detailed design based on BIM. Contrastive analysis between BIM and C AD, detailed design based on BIM and traditional detailed design is researched to reflect value of BIM; framework of BIM and standard model are introduced as the rules of detailed design; application of BIM is presented by an actual project in this paper, in which detailed design model is established and applied through Revit, Autodesk Navisworks Manage. Defects of 2D shop drawings can be marked and systemized as defect report. 3D building model is established to stimulate dynamically the building during the construction stage. Engineers discuss the difficulties in the construction and provide solution in the meeting. It has great effect on the avoidance the traffic conflict and collision of the pipes based on BIM detailed design. Pipes track conflict and collision problem is checked and recorded ahead of time using Autodesk Navisworks Manage software, which will be systemized as the basis of pipes construction. At last, difficulties and the solutions of detailed design based on BIM 's application in the building field are summarized according to the circumstance of BIM in domestic area. In this paper, the principle, the procedure and the solution of the detailed design based on BIM are expatiated in order to provide an effective reference for the construction units and an effective solution to figure out problems during construction.
