Photoelectric theodolite is an important measuring equipment in weapon test. The operators of it have to go through rigorous training to get superior skill. But the training methods are far from perfect. At present, the requirements for high precision of the experiments have been greatly improved. The conventional methods are awkward in this situation. So, it is necessary to develop a simulated training software by the synthetic application of computer science and network technology to reduce training cost and improve training efficiency.The software designed here is based on computer hardware and software and network environment. It includes many resources such as basic geographic information, grid information of module, unit simulation, event data, address coding and so on. A Client/Server mode is used here. The server achieves the interaction of internal network messages by centralized control and mainly accomplishes these functions such as parameter setting, equipment examine, information display, etc. It can also provides high-quality simulated environment to the trainee by three-dimensional animation technology. Then, they must benefit from the virtual environment after repetitious practice. The software provides a virtual operating environment of the optical measuring equipment for the operaters and mangagers who use the equipment to perform testing tasks. A simulated target is offered for tracking and measuring training at the same time. This software can realize postion-postion and station-station coordination training and solve the problem between daily training and actual experiment. It can help a new operator to verse basic principle and fundamental of the equipment, master every operation, process general trouble. The software is capable of decreasing the training period of a trainee, extending the service life of the equipment. In a word, the software designed here plays an important role in improving the training effect and the level of test.
